Option for longer video clips

To use Collections for an online coaching program (or other use cases), it would be very useful to be able to use video clips longer than two minutes. Not incredibly long clips, but at least 10 minutes or so.

Hi There,

Thank you all for your feedback. We decided to extend and enabling the option of uploading videos with up to 5 minutes duration

This update is already available for you :-)

Thanks for listening to our request! Five minutes should give people more flexibility, and perhaps 10 minutes will still be a future consideration for those who create slightly longer videos.

Indeed, 10min would be fantastic for short lessons. I would LOVE that.

2 minutes is incredibly rushed, especially in the context where the slides are for products or services. It forces the speaker to become less personal, to speak like a dumb radio commercial, and eventually lose connection with the viewer. Should your company be worried about data used, consider this: with longer videos we will not need as many videos to cover all angles. In the end, it would be more or less the same usage, but a better experience for the content creators - and, a more personal experience for the viewers. Anyone who wants 1-2 min. videos can just upload them as such. So please consider the lot of us who need a longer option. Ten minutes would be outstanding, but I would even be happy with 5-6.. Thanks.

Ok. So I kind of like the idea of short videos for my use case—make it punchy, say what you need to say. 2-3 minutes is fine.

For others who want more (I've seen 5 minutes and 10 minutes thrown around), what if the purchase were by minutes?

If you have 1 stack, 1 collection of 50 videos, then you would have 50x2, or 100 minutes to use as you choose.

And we could restrict our collaborators by collection if we choose or not.

Just a thought.

Well, nobody stops anyone to upload 2min videos. But for those who need longer videos, such as coaching, or even sports, we need longer videos.

I'm saying, though, that in my use case, I may want to stop someone from uploading longer videos.

I'm specifically thinking about using the stack I purchased (so far) as a sort of crowdsourcing Q&A project. Every collection is a question, and people can upload their answers.

So, I like the shorter answer idea, but I wanted to offer a way that was more flexible for either more complex questions (in my case) or product reviews, etc (like you mentioned). *smiles*
